Vafee living-METAMORPHOSIS Dining Table
After the great success of the Metamorphosis series, Boca Do LoBo created this dining table to strengthen this unique concept. It symbolizes the evolutionary history of life. By displaying carved fossils on the tabletop, it represents the final stage of the life cycle and also reflects the designer’s thinking about the existence of things, that is, “how to define something as alive”.
The surface of the dining table is veneered with walnut wood, featuring special texture details representing fossils, presenting a natural and unique texture. Paired with highly polished brass details, filling the solemn base, the golden luster of the brass adds a sense of luxury and refinement to the dining table, making the overall design exude a touch of luxury while maintaining a sense of stability. The smooth curves are sleek and magnificent. The overall style combines the humor of postmodern style with the luxury of Baroque style, integrating elements of classical and modern, traditional and fashionable, both opposing and unified.A variety of handcrafting techniques are employed, such as wood carving, metal cutting, hammering, and polishing. These techniques are carried out by some of the most outstanding craftsmen in China, ensuring the high quality and exquisite craftsmanship of the product.
